Apple Cider Baked Donuts
I still can't decide if I should be eating these for breakfast because I am fully aware they are more of a dessert. But that is what a donut is, right? Socially acceptable dessert for breakfast. I'm on board. I can rationalize anything though, so apple plus donuts in a baked good means it's okay for breakfast. And it's baked, so more rationalizing. You want those shoes? Come to me and I'll figure out an excellent reason you need them. My husband loves this trait of mine. :)
The husband came home from a football game last weekend and walked upstairs with one in his mouth and said "what are these? These are incredible." I like that he blindly eats whatever is in the kitchen without knowing what it is, but he loved these and we've been eating them for breakfast all week. And lunch, and afternoon and bedtime snacks. We have issues.
This is a super simple recipe and no frying is required for these donuts. All baked and super moist (ugh, that word) and tons of flavor. Love! You can use a mini muffin tin to make donut holes like I did or if you have a donut pan, even better. I'm loving all the Fall flavors right now and apple cider fits in perfectly. Plus leftover apple cider means a few hot cocktails this weekend for mama.
